Shark Diving

Tel:        0860 NOX TEL (+27 21 424 3353)

In South Africa, we have the privilege of access to Great White Sharks … if you know when and where to go.

And now the general public, too, can enjoy first-hand experience of the Great White Shark. Observing and diving with Great White Sharks under the correct conditions and guidance is a wonderful experience. Even ‘anti-shark’ people return from an expedition or diving trip with love, and certainly respect, for this creature.

White Shark Projects is without doubt the most successful White Shark Dive Organisation in the world: Working in the unique marine area off the Southern Cape coast, our skippers log more contact with Great White Sharks than anyone else worldwide. You can either brave the cage for the most spectacular underwater views of the sharks or remain on the boat and view them from above as they are surface feeders. To go into the cage you don't necessarily need a diving qualification as you can also just go in with a wetsuit and goggles, just make sure you don't forget to come up for air...

The cost of this phenomenal experience is approximately R1100 (if you drive yourself). Booking is essential for these excursions as spaces are limited, so please give us a call on 0860 NOX TEL (+27 21 424 3353) and we will happily book a place for you and give you any further information you may require.

Rock Climbing

Tel:        0860 NOX TEL (+27 21 424 3353)

You can learn how to rock climb up Table Mountain's famous facade with the Cape Town School of Mountaineering which offers a two-day rock-climbing course, usually over weekends. They also guide experienced climbers.

Abseiling

Tel:        0860 NOX TEL (+27 21 424 3353)

You start off with a 10 minute safety briefing from the highly qualified  guides and then you are faced with a 114m abseil from the world famous Table Mountain. This is definitely the most ‘xtreme’ way of seeing Cape Town, dangling from a rope with the city and Campsbay Beach below you! Once at the bottom it is a short 15 minute walk back to the top. This is one of the must dos on the Cape Xtreme menu.

Mountain Biking

Tel:        0860 NOX TEL (+27 21 424 3353)

Experience Cape Town at ground level. Take up the challenge and do a guided ride through the stunning Tokai Forest up on Silvermine Reserve (mountain pass) with its many ups and downs, or take the less strenuous route and do the Table Mountain Double Descent which involves riding along the base of the Mother City's Mountain, traversing the front side and enjoying the spectacular views of the city spanning out beneath you.

Combo

Tel:        0860 NOX TEL (+27 21 424 3353)

For the really adventurous why don't you do the Table Mountain Bike Abseil Combo!! That is sure to keep the adrenaline pumping the entire day and night.

Paragliding

Tel:        0860 NOX TEL (+27 21 424 3353)

Take the plunge and leap off Signal Hill or Lion's Head!

"When once you have tasted flight, you will forever walk the earth with your eyes turned skyward, for there you have been, and there you will always long to return." - Leonardo da Vinci

You can take paragliding lessons or if you have little time why don't you opt for a tandem paraglide. It is just as extreme and exhilarating as being on your own, but with that added sense of security, knowing you have a trained “pilot” strapped in behind you. From the air you can take in all the sights that make up one of the most beautiful cities in the world, Cape Town. We will happily hook you up after you've called 0860 NOX TEL (+27 21 424 3353).

Sky Diving

Tel:        0860 NOX TEL (+27 21 424 3353)

A 20-minute drive north along the R27, or West Coast road as it's more commonly known, is all it takes for you to be whisked from the Cape Town city centre to a drop zone that boasts one of the best views in the world from altitude.

On a tandem jump, you are strapped to a Tandem Instructor with a special harness that’s attached to a specially designed parachute large enough to support both of you. After only 15 minutes of ground briefing you will enjoy a spectacular 20 minute aircraft ride, experiencing the finest views of the West Coast, Cape Town, Robben Island and Table Mountain.

Then it's action time! Out the door for a 120mph/200kph freefall, falling about 25-30 seconds from 9,000ft or for about 35-40 seconds from 11,000ft. The Tandem Instructor opens the parachute at about 5000ft, and a peaceful 3-4 minute parachute ride to the ground follows.

Less than an hour after landing from your Skydive, you could be gazing out at Robben Island from the top of Table Mountain, relaxing on a wine farm in Stellenbosch, or eating seafood in one of the many fine restaurants at the V&A Waterfront.

Quad Biking

Tel:        0860 NOX TEL (+27 21 424 3353)

By far the most exciting thing on 4 wheels, Quad Biking is a rush like no other. Whether you’re speeding through the obstacle course on the 6 speed “Blaster”, or taking it easy on one of the mellow course with a manual “Breezer”, Quadding will knock your socks off!

The trails twist and wind through sand and bush, offering climbs, descents, technical sections and flat out straights.

Reaching speeds of up to 80 km per hour, find out what your machine's got, or take it easy and enjoy the awesome scenery.

For the hardened adrenaline junkies we offer a river crossing.

Sand Boarding

Tel:        0860 NOX TEL (+27 21 424 3353)

The best thing about Sand Boarding is that it is easy to learn and accessible to the absolute beginner - so fear not, Adrenaline is just a slide away. You will be taken to the idyllic sand dunes of Atlantis up the west coast of Cape Town, where you will be provided with all of the equipment, full instruction, lunch and refreshment.

Sea Kayaking

Tel:        0860 NOX TEL (+27 21 424 3353)

This is about exploring the coast and experiencing marine life from a small, yet safe and stable craft. Seeing the whiskers on a seal, hearing a dolphin blow, feeling your skin tingle when a whale surfaces close by is what sea kayaking is all about.

The popular trip from Mouille Point offers relaxing paddling with spectacular views of Signal Hill, Lions Head and Table Mountain.

Alternatively you can start off from Bakoven Bay next to Camps Bay and enjoy a paddle along Camps Bay beach, Clifton and back.

Jet Skiing

Tel:        0860 NOX TEL (+27 21 424 3353)

Unfortunately, due to environmental concerns and water traffic regulation changes, tourists are no longer able to rent jet skis off of Cape Town waters. The next best thing is to take a ride on a super-charged rubber duck (off shore motorboat). Contact us and we will gladly arrange this for you.

Huey Extreme Club

Tel:        0860 NOX TEL (+27 21 424 3353)

Take an awesome, adrenalin pumping flip in an original Vietnam, open-sided Huey chopper.

The two most popular flights are:

Atlantica: A 20 minute flip which goes down the Peninsula, past Camps Bay, to the Twelve Apostles and back to the Waterfront.
Combat Mission: A 30 minute flight up the West Coast to Bloubergstrand, where you can enjoy a perfect view of Table Mountain. The pilot executes a number of "combat maneuvers" that make for a thrilling ride!

It's a great way to see the peninsula, and it's a lot more exciting than most traditional tourist helicopter flights.

Kite Boarding

Tel:        0860 NOX TEL (+27 21 424 3353)

Make full use of the south-easter when it blows and take up the challenge of kiteboarding at Blouberg Dolphin Beach. This is a guaranteed adrenaline rush that will last.

Nox Rentals has a full kit that is available for rental by anyone staying with us.

Surfing

Tel:        0860 NOX TEL (+27 21 424 3353)

Take to the waters and master the art of surfing. Be one of the cool surfing dudes or dudettes, and experience the thrill and exhilaration of riding the waves of the big blue....only the best surfing spots will do for you!

Scuba Diving

Tel:        0860 NOX TEL (+27 21 424 3353)

Although a little chilly, the ocean waters around Cape Town offer some good diving opportunities. While there is not the diversity of fish seen in tropical waters there are good wreck and kelp forest dives.

There are plenty of operators based in Cape Town offering diving tours, and an internationally recognized PADI open water dive course can also be done.

Kloofing

Tel:        0860 NOX TEL (+27 21 424 3353)

Kloofing otherwise known as canyoning; is a uniquely Western Cape experience. It involves getting yourself down a river gorge; one that is fast-flowing; but with too little water for kayaking. Boulder hopping, wading, swimming, climbing, and jumping off cliffs from 3 - 15 metres high is what you will be doing. This is a full day of great fun and extreme adventure over a 17km course which takes place at Suicide Gorge in the Hottentots Mountains just outside of Cape Town.
